Hi Experts,

i am new to this sap world. i am working on SAP-PP.

All my basic concepts are clear but still i want learn SAP-PP . Please guide me how to proceed further or can any body share me some documents

Hi Rupali,

After doing a course I can understand that you have some basic idea of SAP PP. For learning more go through the help file, read more scenario from scn.sap.com and run the same in the test system. While doing the same you will get a lot of errors, try solving them by your own and then reach out to the forum and precede ahead. This way you can learn more and more.

Dear Rupali

First step

You should sit with SAP PP expert and execute following test scripts

i - Master data (Material, Bill-of-material, Routing, Production version, Work center)

ii - Create demand and run Planning (including MRP)

iii - Converting planned orders to production orders

iv - Goods issue, Confirmation, Goods receipt related to production orders

v - Costing and Settlement

Configuration will be your second step after you work on the above basics

Hi Everyone,

After taking a course, I believe you have a fundamental understanding of SAP PP Training. The course teaches you how to produce a Bill of Material (BOM), which includes all of the elements needed to develop a product. Experience is the only way to learn. Your present understanding appears to be elementary.

First Steps of SAP PP:

• Material Master (Bill of Material - BOM, Work Centre, Routing, Production Version)

• Standard Planning (with the standard of info structure)
• Demand Planning (SAP)
• Master Data requirements in MRP
• Goods Receipt wref to Production Order

HappY Diwali  Rupali, Can u tell me where did u learn sap PP  and  what portion of sap Pp do u want to learn as  u see  PP is very vast

I have done my course from siemens.

I am very good in careting production order, goods issue, and confirmation, work center.

I know how to create BOm and routing but not in much depth.(i can create simple bom and routing)

I am very weak in configuration part, MRP, safty stock calulation. 😞

Whenver i am getting any new ticket first thing comes in mind that i don't know anything about this.

I know its not good thing. so i want to explor my knowledge.

You can only learn from experience. The knowledge you currently have seems to be basic, but the more tickets you solve the more you will learn. Reading books etc will only give theory knowledge which is not helpful at all, you can refer to help.sap.com for any topic you want. It is the best source of information available.
