SAP PP BOM Synchronization in mass plant

If BOM A exist in Plant 1000 ,Plant 2000 and Plant 3000,

Once BOM A changed,How to update the BOM information in plant 1000,2000,3000.

Mustn't we do the changes in BOM A three times?

Is there any solution in standard SAP system with BOM Synchronization ?

Hi ,

If you want to have same BOM in all plants, Then you maintain a group BOM for the material without plant & referece group BOM to the plants where it is needed.

So the changes what you make in group BOM will always be copied to the plants where it has been referenced.

but the operation of create the group bom or reference bom is what?

what is the difference between the normal bom creation and group bom or reference bom creation,can you tell me some details.

Hi,

Group BOM is created using transaction CS01 only without specifying the plant. This cannot be used in production.

Using CS07 transaction you assign this group BOM to different plants as required.

While referencing it is required that all the materials should be existing in the plants to be referenced with relevenat views.
