Master data

Master data is the foundation of any SAP system. It provides the context for all other data in the system and is used to define the entities that are involved in business transactions. Master data is typically updated infrequently, but it is critical to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.

Some examples of PM master data include:

  • Functional Location
  • Equipment
  • Work Center
  • Measure Point / Counter
  • Task List
  • Maintenance Plan

Transactional data

Transactional data is created as a result of business transactions. It provides information about the details of each transaction, such as the date, time, and amount of the transaction. Transactional data is typically updated frequently and is used to track the flow of goods and services within an organization.

Some examples of PM transactional data include:

  • Notification
  • Maintenance Order
  • Confirmation
  • Measuring Documents
