SAP Master Data Governance (Supplier or Customer) - Creation of Contact Persons

Good Day, valued SAP Experts,

we have a requirement to create contact persons in a dedicated Business Partner Gruping (Z****). We are Using MDG on SAP S/4 HANA. Creation of Contact Persons together with the Main Business Partner (Customer or Supplier) works fine, however Contact Persons are always created in the same BP-Grouping as the main Business Partner.

Scenario Despription

While creating our Main Business Partner, MDG allows to simultaneously create a contact person (similar to the Fiori App Manage BP). This works fine. If we are now creating a new Customer or Cuspplier (or both) in the Business Partner Grouping (Z1**), we can simultaneounsly a contact person. That works fine. But the Contact person is also created with the same Busness Partner Grouping (Z1**).

The requirement, however, is that all contact persons are created in one single Business Partner Grouping (ZX**), so independant of the Grouping of the Main Business Partner.

We can not find any customizing to support this requirement. Did anyone have the same requirement in the past and how did you solve it (ideally of course in or close to SAP standard).

Hi Acram,

MDG BP will always use Internal Standard Grouping for new contact person via customizing 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges' as shown below.

If you are not allowed to change this customizing and want to use another specific BP Grouping for contact person, you have to make some code enhancement to change this default logic.
