Dear all,
we are planning to implement SAP Learning Solution this year.
In the context of eLearning we just want to convert Powerpoint and MS Word slides to SCORM.
In addition, we want to enhance the slides with final tests before converting to the SCORM package, we can upload to SAP.
That means:
Powerpoint or Word template + Quiz (with random questions) --> Converting to SCORM package --> Upload to SAP
Are there some recommendations from your side, which authoring tools are advisable w.r.t. the blue marked process step?
Many thanks in advance.
Torsten
Hi Torsten,
You have a few options. To convert your Powerpoint, the easiest option is to purchase a well vetted content creation tool such as Articulate, Storyline, Captivate. They can do the conversion to any SCORM version and will allow you to create a quiz. My team is partial Articulate and Articulate Storyline (which may be more complex than you need.) These solutions can be pricey for some customers. If you want to go the less expensive route, you can find free or cheap tools that will convert your ppt to SCORM (or build one - SAP did a long time ago but not sure what happened to it.) Then you can import it into the Authoring Environment and create a test using the AE Testing Tool function. This will be much clunkier (but it's easy to see your test results as they are NOT SCORM compliant but easy to read in the SAP testing tables.) Here is a nice 'walkthrough' and some other tool suggestions from the SCORM cloud:
http://scorm.com/scorm-cloud/powerpoint-to-scorm/ SCORM.com SCORM Cloud is the best place to test content to ensure it's SCORM conformant, so a good link to have for many reasons. Good luck and regards, Sharon
