SAP labor time vs throughput time

Hi all,

I have the following situation:

I have an operation which takes 2 hours. labor time in SAP is set to 2 hours. However, 2 people are working on this operation simultaneously. The total labor time should thus actually be 4 hours. However, total throughput time should remain the same (2 hours).

1) Where can I set the people allocation?

2) How is the costing calculated for these 4 hours of labors?

3) If I change the labor time to 4 hours, how do I keep the throughput time at 2 hours?

I understand these questions are very broad, but any clue in the right direction is highly appreciated!

Michel

Hi Michel

Everything is defined at the work center, where you can define different formulas for scheduling, capacity planning and for costing.

In the work center capacity you can define that there are two individual capacities and the duration will be calculated accordingly if you define a formula that considers individual capacities for scheduling.

Take a look into this document that explains the work center setup using standard formulas that might help you:
