We are deploying Rancher to manage the Kubernetes cluster where the SAP Integration Cell will be hosted. According to the documentation, SAP requires Rancher as a prerequisite to manage the cluster; however, there is no mention of any requirements related to the virtualization layer.
Could you please confirm whether there are any requirements at the hypervisor layer from SAP’s perspective to manage Rancher and Kubernetes? Specifically, is VMware ESXi required, or is it also possible to use a KVM-based hypervisor? As far as we checked, "The hypervisor is considered out of scope from SAP perspective"
