Hi Experts,
I have spent many days exploring documentation on RISE with SAP and the conversion guides for transitioning for SAP ERP to SAP Hana Cloud Private Edition. Globally I do have an overview of how this is working and what are the steps to be taken for the conversion process.
The scenario I do not understand regarding the conversion process is when SAP ERP system is used for different modules like FI, CO, SD, MM and also HCM within the same client and the business need is to only migrate HCM to SAP Cloud Private Edition and keep the rest of the modules (FI, SD, MM ) as they are on the SAP ERP system. Is it possible to only migrate HCM to SAP Cloud Private Edition or the whole SAP ERP system should be converted including all modules? during the conversion process is there any step where only specific modules and application can be selected for the conversion?
Many thanks
Rachid.

Hello,
In a system conversion project, the whole system will be converted from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA. This means it is not possible to select only specific modules.
If you only need to move HCM, the option is a carve-out project. However, for that, you need to involve the DMLT team (Data Management and Landscape Transformation). I would suggest discussing it with your SAP Account Executive.
