SAP Group Reporting as Stand Alone

Dears,

Can i use group reporting without any other module, i have a customer who is in need of a consolidation system, can i provide him the group reporting solution without the need of any of the other s/4 modules? is there specific licenses that i would need?

Hi Zaid,

Yes you can use Group Reporting as stand-alone consolidation system.

You should properly look into adding Group Reporting Data Collection to your landscape to integrate external system or map csv upload files. Group Reporting Data Collection will also be beneficial to collect information for accounting notes.

In terms of license I think SAP or your key account should guide you. But Group Reporting and Group Reporting Data Collection have licenses.

I have done this. We only activated 1SG for Group Reporting (and 40Y for Intercomany Matching but that isn't a requirenment for consolidation. Just a good feature).

We used Group Reporting Data Collection to have data mapping and manual collection of data from Input Forms. But again - not a requirement just makes life easier for data providers if you don't integrate everything through an import API.
