SAP ERP Customer / Vendor Integration towards Business Partner Model - Impact on GTS Integration

Dear Community,

we are currently investigating the customer / vendor integration towards the unified business partner data model as one of the prerequisites for moving to S/4HANA. In the SAP S/4HANA Cookbook Customer/Vendor Integration, the necessary steps for conducting the data model change are outlined, also considering system architectures with attached SAP HCM or SAP CRM. However, we miss considering a connected GTS. Therefore, we wonder which are the necessary steps to perform during C/V integration in order to still have the GTS properly connected. As far as I understood, GTS already has the BP data model in place, so there has to be already a C/V mapping between ERP and GTS which would eventually become obsolete after the C/V integration in SAP ERP.

Thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards,
Simon

There should be no issue, as SAP GTS has its own Business Partner Numbers and works with External Numbers for the business partner from S/4HANA.

See as well chapter 9.1.2.IDocs DEBMAS/CREMAS in S/4HANA. These both IDoc-types are still available in S/4HANA.

Maybe this SAP Note give you some information as well: 2568044 - Unable to update the corresponding business partner address in SAP GTS system when transfe...
