SAP EAM - dismantle and install equipment from maintenance notification

Greetings,

I was wondering if it is possible to use activities in maintenance notification action box to dismantle and install equipment.

In activity definition we define which function module the activity calls but so far I have failed to find the correct one (if one actually exists).

So my question is as follows:

Which standard/already existing function modules can be used for activities in maintenance notification action box to dismantle and install equipment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

there are quite a few standard action box options in the system and these can be found via SE37. The following is an extract from the IMG help:

The standard system contains some example functions as ideas and models for your own definition. You can find the relevant function modules using the following generic keys:

  • QM06_FA* Function modules for activities
  • QM06_FM* Function modules for tasks
  • QM06_CO* Function modules for changes to the workflow container

When you create new action box FMs they need to have the same import/export parameters as the examples above for them to work. You can then embed other standard FMs as required.

Matjaz Moser,

AS far as I am aware, there isn't a FM for Install/Dismantle equipment for the action box. You would need to create one yourself.

Talk to your ABAP Team who should be able to help.

Greetings Peter,

there are many that sound suitable but so far I haven't found any that would actually work. I will check them again with my ABAP team and if any standard function module can be used I will update this thread. But most probably we will have to implement a custom function module as you have yourself suggested.

Thank you for your help.

Bets regards,

Matjaž.
