SAP ByD: Confidential POs

Hi SAP community,

The Legal department manage confidential POs and they don't want them to be checked but other users SAP.

From my understanding, is it not possible to restrict the acces of PO to a Cost center because the only PO access restriction is at Company level. It means all the purchasers can read/edit all the POs of the company.

When I create a new SAP accounts, I set up a default Query "My POs" for each user to display only the POs they are responsible for.
It is a workaround solution but I want to know if there is a way, to flag a PO as "Confidential" and then restrict the access to it.

within Standard behaviour of the system, Access restriction based on the custom logic is not possible

i.e Access Context of SAP Standard Screens can not be modified

We have also been having issues with the Bill of Material in this regards where we want to restrict access BoM per site ( Even though BoM has Access context set to Site, Since on BoM itself, you can not maintain Site and hence access restriction is useless). + we have some additional custom fields which we would like to consider in the providing the access to the user.

The only we identified is to create a new custom Work center and view with our on logic to display / Restrict the access and do not assign Standard work center to users.

In the custom work center, you can then define the logic to display or hide the data according to rules and you will need to build an internal mechanism to call the Business Object to get the data from Standard screen and store it on custom BO on which new work center / view would be built.
