SAP Business One version HANA Performance Issue

844

Hello,

Using SAP Business One 10 FP 2108 Hotfix and HANA Revision 2.00.056 but we are facing performance issues on SAP Business One Client (64-bit).

In contrast to these performance issues, we are monitor both SAP application server and HANA Database server but the resources is not on high consumption (CPUs or RAM) and seems not stressed at all. Although the SAP Client is suffer from slow behavior during the working hours. Notice that the performance issue is not only on add a document and sap object (e.g Business Partner, AR Invoice) but also when SAP Client run an FMS or validate of a field.

Is there anyone to explain why this happens and what we can do to avoid the performance issue?

Best Regards,

Spyros Papadogiannos

Hi,

To improve performance, try these:

1. Delete all send messages from Message/overview

2. Delete test databases if any to release memory usage

3. Check any memory alerts in HANA studio if any

Hi,

Also remove Logs created in HANA Server and the LAN Speed.

Hello,

Thank you all for your replies. We check also the HANA memory consumption that is to 7% of total on linux server and also uses the 50% of licensed memory of system measurement.

Do you propose something else that needs to be checked?

Hi Spyros,

Next you could take a look at the network. Everything from the servers' network cards and settings to the workstations' network cards and settings. Make sure to turn off IP 6 on all network adapters (unless you use it). If you are using a wireless network (WLAN), check the optimal location and configuration of all your routers (B1 does not like WLAN by the way). If you are using a wired network (LAN), check that all your cables are at least cat6, especially cables between your servers and router.

Please note that writing data is always slower than reading data. Even an FMS technically writes data to the database. You may also want to check if there are any write-heavy processes going on during the day, that you might be able to perform outside regular business hours.

Johan

Hi Johan,

Thanks for your reply but it seems that everything is in a correct way for all the points you mentioned.

Do you propose something else that needs to be checked?

Hi Spyros,

"...performance issues on SAP Business One Client (64-bit)..."

Can you please elaborate a little on these issues, and also on the circumstances of the B1 client (all clients, all workstations, also on the server, etc.)?

Regards,

Johan
