I am facing a similar issue.  I made sure the B1i password is the same as the B1SiteUser, restarted the services, ran a repair of the integration service but still no luck.

Hi all,

I had the same problem.

I had 2 times the same databse in the SLD, so delete the old sytem (the duplicate database) fixed my problem.

Dashboard widget will not work even ur cockpit is enabled....It is because of connection between the Database and integration  port problem arises.this will clear by enable all port in SQL configration manager.

SQL server 2008 ---> Configration Tools --> SQL Server Configration manager  ---> Network Configration  --> Protocols for MSSQLSERVER  --> TCP/IP --> Protocol -->Enabled all && IP address--> Ipall  ---> TCP Dynamic port assign 0 if no value is assigned .

Hi experts:

How do I change the address to my server b1i, since version 8.81 is not in the cockpit of general parameters tab.

The address is as follows

http:// <server_name>: 8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/ipo

I want to change the <server_name>

Thanks

Hi

Where do you want to change the server name?

I set the RFQ in SAP Business One.

I get emails to my inbox but when access to the link with the address:

https://<SERVER_NAME>:8443/B1iXcellerator/exec/ipo/vP.001sap0007.in_HCSX/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.runti...

and entered the amount and price of products, they are not updated in SAP in my purchase offer.

So I guess there is something wrong with my email address <SERVER_NAME> I want to change the server's IP number.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

This will clear by set the password to B1i User in SAP Business One.

Admin --> Setup   --> General  -->  users -->B1i  -->password.

Hi all:

The reason I added to this thread is because I am facing the same problem and trouble shooting this in the last 3 days without any success.

I am also facing the problem:

SAP Business One Integration Service authentication failed. Log off from the application; then log on and try again...

I have SQL server 2008 installed, SAP B1 server and client installed, B1if installed all in one machine.

SAP B1 8.81 PL 05, B1if PL05.

Facts:

1) B1DI connection to my B1 company tested OK.

2) JDBC connection to my B1 company tested OK.

3) There is only 1 instance of SQL server 2008

4) In B1if under Monitoring>Authen. Monitor login into sap.Xcelsius IPO = S, Login = OK, AuthChk=failed. click on Authentication Info says = Action Result = failure, ActionMessage = Exception: Wrong username or password.

5) Event Sender setup all connection tested and connection to B1i server OK.

I can supply more facts if needed (just that I don't know what facts I need to supply more).

Please help URGENTLY!

Phong.

Hi,

Please check you have all over the same machine name or IP address as B1 server.

It needs to be the same in:

1. SLD system definition

2. EventSender configuration

3. License Manager, where you configure the B1 server. You can see the name you entered in the license manager from the ChooseCompany window in B1.

Sometimes this error is due to different names or using IP in some places and machine name in others.

Hope it helps,

Trinidad.

Hi:

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have the same machine name on Event Sender, SLD with B1 Server. However, the same problem still exists!

Is there anything else that can go wrong or needed to be checked?

Hi:

I check on Integration Framework on Monitoring > Authen. Monitor and click on Login Info button. It showed that for the user manager (that I used to log in), the usrid was not populated. I check on my machine which has Xcelsius running, and this field is correctly populated.

What could go wrong?

Please help URGENTLY!

Thanks and regards,

Hi,

If you indicate the JCO path in the SLD for the B1 systems, it seems to works better. I still have the same issue sometimes, but it is maybe due to a timeout.

I have this resolved now.

However, I still face the problem in which the flash content does not show up. When I added the Service Call Dashboard a security alert came up saying "The identity of this website or the integrity of this connection cannot be verified." Then I installed the certificate. But still after that, the flash content does not come up.

Can you help there?

Does the client reside on same SAP License server OR different?

I used PL 09 and it is quite OK.

When you checked the Integration Framework, were all the SAP B1 databases listed there?

Hi:

Please make sure that the name of the SAP License server (either name or IP address) need to be exactly the same on SAP B1 client and on B1if and Event Sender.

Please feedback if you can log onto the B1if server.

Hi Phong,

I have exactly the same problem in authentication monitor.

The version of SAP is 8.81 PL09 and all test are ok.

However, if I connect with user B1i in SAP, all running ok and monitor authentication is ok too.

If I change the password of the user manager (for example), and password of manager = password of B1i user, then no error message in SAP.

It seems the error arrives only when password of the user is different of password of B1i.

How do you fix your issue?

Thank you,

As you wrote, I've only changed in the license server the name of the SAP Server to the actual name

Instead of the IP Address (as it's in the SLD and in the event sender)

And It's WORKING finally !!!

Hi All,

For all those suffering with a named instance of SQL I believe this issue is fixed now if you upgrade to 8.81 PL08. For the work around see note 1621563.

Anyhow, there are 4 areas you need to get right.

1) The company database under SLD should be SQL server name\instance name

2) The JDBC connection should also be SQL server name\instance name (not SQL server name:port)

3) Under WSforMobile and HAnyforXcelsius make sure under HTTP the srvIP is SQL Server name\instance name (this was the issue for me)

4) Run the eventsender setup. The DB Server name should be SQL Server name\instance name and the port can be set to 0000

I hope this helps.

Adrian

Thank you, this solved my problem!

In the early begining of B1i-JDBC didn't work with the instance names (p.e. "Srv01\SBO_1") instead you had to use a dedicated port for the SQL instance! With the ports you have been able to test your connection, but badly the rest didn't work! After over 2 years of trying finding a solution your post is it!

Thanks and kind regards,

Adrian

I have solved my problem.

The last thing I did was SBO-COMMON delete, uninstall Integration Framework.

then

Install SBO-COMMON from 8.81 PL07 ans Upgrade Common in two turns(because first installation was unsuccessful) ,

and install IF.

And all is up and running.

hi, everyone.

While connecting to SAP B1 8.8 PL05 Integration service, the error message is thrown 'Microsoft Windows services not running'.

It worked fine for first two days then it started throwing this error as I connect to Inegration Service. Let me know, how could I resolve this issue.

Hi all,

I'm facing the same issue. So I wanted to test connection in integration framework. After I've logged in there are no tabs active e.g. SLD shortcut is inactive. I can't see also IP number in the upper left corner. Without this console it's hardly impossible to fix this authenthication error.

I've checked services- they are running. I've also fully reinstalled Integration Component (including deleting B1if database). I've tried to run it on the server under IE and Firefox. Activex is enabled. Flash player 10 and both (32 and 64 bit) Java are installed.

Does anyone have any idea?

Hi

still I've got AuthChk failed with info "Wrong username or password" and the login info is OK

So system parses login data as correct, but authentication fails.

The main issue I guess is how the login should be.

How important is language setting (en-US, pl-PL)

I've tried many logins as recommended in other posts but no success.

Dear all,

My frustration is enormous. I have been playin with cocpits just from 8.8 PL 12, I guess that's about a year. Since then and stiil I dont really know how to handle it.

It is unstable. It is unpredictable. It is not documented at all. Few pages about cocpits, few pages on how to cope with common errors. That is nothing, How we could build advantage on other systems even if we could not run it.

It seems that a couple of smart guys got a task to provide communication with SBO they said 'yeah we have it, works fine with R/3, few lines of code and everytnin would be ok'. Here comes java and tomcat and catalina just like there is no database server and web server when a typical SBO server installation is on Windows Server 2003/8.

I dont get it, really. For me it is another weak point where things go bad. 64 bits systems? Oh really ? Okay you must install both JDKs. PL 05 does it for us, but as I said 8.8 PL12 was not so nice.

Integration solution. SBO does not fit to it. Let me put this that way: we all like cars, eg sports, red etc. You like cars so here you are please take this dissasembled gearbox cause you like cars and play with it. From business logic, processes you land on mysterious and magic land of SLDs, setting and things you dont know and never will ('couse no doc...), buttons, actions. A bulk of cra...

And I think that nobody is worried about.

I am experiencing the same issue.

I have done several times every routines mentioned earlier and frankly only frustration , no success.

On integration solution, both tests connects eg to a new database, B1i password is set, I can log in to SBO on B1i.

Facts:

operating system: Windows 7 64bit,

database server: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) - 10.50.1617.0 (X64) Apr 22 2011 19:23:43 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Express Edition with Advanced Services (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

SB1: 8.81.313.05 (8.81 PL 05)

I found something strange in Integration framework Authentication Report logs, last octet of my server IP address is not delimited by comma (b1server="192.168.0120), I did not provide that at all, even I dont know where to find that setting.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

-<bfa:unbranch schemaversion="1.0" xmlns:bfa="urn:com.sap.b1i.bizprocessor:bizatoms"> -<vPCall language="en-US" b1="" pwd="manager" usrid="" user="manager" company="SBODEMOPL" b1server="192.168.0120" caller="001sap0004" callstate="error">-<connect>

I also faced the same problem. I'm using 8.81 PL05 with SQL server2008. First I can see my company databases in SLD but when I faced authentication failed message. I uninstalled integration framework and DI API and reinstalled again. Now I cannot even see my company database in the SLD and still facing the authen.failed. I even reinstalled them again and still not working.

Any recommendation is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue using B1 8.81 patch 04.

The SLD tests connections succeed, but I get the "Business One Integration Service Authentication Fail..." Message that the others are getting.

I went into monitoring and the authentications failed with message:

Hi,

It is amazing you asked your 2nd question almost after 4 years from the 1st one.

Have you checked that if SQL 2008 R2 Express is a supported database server version?

Thanks,

Gordon

Former Member
0 Kudos

The platform stated on my message with SQL Server 2008 Epress is on a test server with SAP Business one 8.81 PL02 and is supported as per my understanding.

But surprisingly we were getting the same error on our production Server running SQL 2005 Standard with SAP Business One 8.8 PL12.

On both the systems in the Integration Framework for B1DI connection test we are getting the following error

"com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: Connect to Business One failed.

(-8012) Company version mismatch

{b1Server=ATLANTA, company=SBO-COMMON, licenseServer=ATLANTA:30000, dbType=4, dbUser=sa, userName=B1i}

connect to sbo-common(BIDI) FAILED"

So far from the Troubleshooting the B1ic (Business One Integration Component) document I have

checked both the two possible root causes of such error and still have not been able to resolve the issue.

1) Root cause 1: Mismatch between DI, SBO-Common and Company database versions

2) Root cause 2: Database in the SLD is incorrect

I have verified on both the test and the production server that the versions are correct and the correct database SBO-common is selected in the SLD.

We have tried to replace the server name with IP address as well and it did not solve the issue.

Hopefully someone can give me some hint to resolve and make the Integration Component to work.

Former Member

I am getting exactly the same error as you and have also gone through the troubleshooting options with no success.

I have also reinstalled SQL 2005 from SQL 2005 Express in case this was causing the issue.

I've reinstalled the DI-API, etc, in case I had an old version, but other DI Applications such as Outlook Integration and DTW both connect on the same server, so it can't be that.

Have you managed to get a resolution that hasn't been documented here?

Former Member
0 Kudos

Yes we were able to resolve the issue.

1) Login to integeration framework where B1i server was installed.

2) If installed properly your company database will be available in the SLD and it is not same as SBO-COMMON. You should be able to see your company database.

3) After selecting your company database in the SLD run the B1DI test conection. If you recieve an error here it would be probably because you may have wrong password for B1i user in SAP Business One. You need to update your company B1i user password in the SLD and it should resolve the issue as it has for us.

Hi,

As Zahid explained if you have other B1 databases available in the SQL server you should see other systems created in the SLD menu of the Integration Framework page.

It is normal the DI API connection for the SBO-COMMON database fails, SBO-COMMON database is not a B1 company database and therefore DI API connection is not possible. The TestConnection button for the DI API connection shouldn't be tested, only the one for JDBC connection.

Please test you have other company databases SLD systems and all the connections are correct.

Trinidad.

Dear all,

I have similar problem. SAP B1 8.81 PL4

1) Login to integeration framework where B1i server was installed : OK

2) I am able to see my company databases.

3) If I select a company database in the SLD and run the B1DI test conection. Then it is telling me : connection OK.

Also tested the JDBC connection and it was fine.

However if I login to SAP B1, i still get this SB1 I service Authentication Failed error.

Any tips/help?

I have the same issue. The only difference is that I had to copy SBO-COMMON and reset to point to my demo database because none of my company databases were listed under sld - but this tests fine, at least it did after I ran setup with a machine name instead of the localhost IP address 127.0.0.1 that was there before. I have tried everything but keep coming back to the same error when I log into the SAP company.

Has anybody experienced this error and found a solution?

Same problem with Bart on the same version 8.81 PL04 with following erro:

SAP Business One Integration Service authentication Failed

Log oFF From the application; then log on and try again. IF the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

The test connection for B1DI and JDBC are successful.

Tried most steps of steps on the "Troubleshooting the B1ic" PDF, still no luck:

Restart integration related services.

Reinstall B1ic

disable cockpit and the enable

deactiviate scenario and activiate

change B1i user password and check license for B1i user

check JCO installation path

re-setup event sender

...

None of them work for me.

If we go to Monitor > Authent. Monitor, the AuthChk is "failed" and here is the Authentication Info:

failure

ActionMessage

Exception : Wrong username or password

Can any one help on this issue? Thanks.

We've tried more steps:

Uninstall and reinstall B1ic. (We cannot find our company database name in the "Integration Framework" > B1iServer. So we Create the system based on "SBO-Common". The B1DI and JDBC Test are successful). But the same authentication failed error.

Check the activate status for B1iadmin, B1ipeer.

Reset B1i user name

Still the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Wei,

After installation of B1iC if you don't see your B1 databases in the SLD please don't create them by hand.

In order to have all B1 databases autogenerated please do the following:

1. Detach one of the B1 databases from SQL server using SQL Server Management Studio

2. Open B1 and refresh the Choose Company Window (the database you detached should not be listed anymore)

3. Attach the B1 database to SQL server again

4. Open B1 and refresh the Choose Company Window, the database should be listed again

5. Connect to that DB with B1

6. Close B1 and check if your DB system has been automatically created in the SLD

7. Test the Connections in your DB systems inside SLD and edit all passwords if there is a problem with it

8. Try to see if dashboards work now

A new troubleshooting guide has been released, this tip and some more tips are there. Please check:

Thanks for your suggestion Maria.

Following your suggestion, I get our company db back to SLC > B1iServer list once I detach and re-attach our company db. Howerver, the Authentication Failed problem persists.

I also checked troubleshooting document new version, There is no guide for "Authentication Failed" error. I find that the 8.81 support Java 6 (not sure wether 8.81 will only support Java 6). Since we have Java 5 update 22 installed. So I uninstall B1ic and Java 5. Then install Java 6 update 24 and B1ic. The problem persists.

Seems like we have tried /checked everything related listed in the troubleshooting document and I've reinstall B1ic more than 10 times, still no progress on this problem.

We upgraded from 8.8 PL13. The B1ic works fine at that patch level. It's because of this bug (note 1526729), we decide to upgrade to latest version.

We've been stuck here for almost one week. Thanks for further suggestion.

Hi all,

For those that are encountering the Authentication Failed error can you let me know:

1. Do you use a SQL server instance

2. If you do is it using port 1433

3.Is there a default instance on the machine too - which port?

4.Check the following in the integration framework

Monitor > Authent. Monitor, the AuthChk is "failed" and check what is in the Authentication Info by clicking on this button.

Cheers,

Lisa

In my case it says Login: failed and Authchk: -

authentication info fields are blank.

Former Member

I encountered several times the authentication problem and here are the steps I'm doing to fix this.

1. in B1, disable the cockpit for the entire company - close

2. log in the integration framework (B1iadmin - user)

3. In SLD>your company> Test the DB connection and JDBC. - logout

4. Enable the cockpit in B1

5. The check the dashboards.

I don't know exactly the reason behind this problem but doing the routine above solved this bug.

Hope this help.
