SAP Business One: Customer owned Inventory in 3PL Warehouse

Dear Experts,

I'm at a loss on how to best handle this client request:

The Client is a 3PL service company (Implementing SAP B1) and will store Customer Stock in a Specific Customer BIN within their Warehouse. The 3PL Client would like to report back to the Customer the quantities in Stock, but would not like that Cost reflected in their GL.

I have tried the following:

• Perpetual Inventory - selected
• Allow Stock release without Item Cost - selected
• Dropship Warehouse: This does not reflect the Customer Stock QTY
• Normal Warehouse with Item Standard Cost @ $0. Item is a Purchased, Sales and Inventoried Item. I thought this would work, due to 'Allow stock Release without Item Cost - selected, BUT on a Inventory Transfer and Delivery Document I get the error about cost not being found.

My next logical option would be to mark the Standard Cost as $0.01 and do some Financial gymnastics on a monthly basis to get that out - BUT I was hoping for a better solution.

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Dear Sundararaja,

I was hoping to see Inventory quantities move without it hitting the GL.

Here is an example of what we would like to accomplish:

PO < Goods Receipt (No JE). Close Goods Receipt (No JE) - We want to utilize PO's and Goods Receipts to show QTY in Warehouse (Yard at Port) and also to use a Container management Add-on.

Inventory Transfer (No JE) - Transfer from Yard to Warehouse. I do not now how to make this step work without a $0.01 cost.

Sales Order < Delivery (No JE or $0 COGS) < Invoice ($0 Revenue/AR). I do not now how to make the Delivery step work without a $0.01 cost. There will be service Lines on the Documents that will result in a JE, but we can disregard this for the example.

Dear Sundararaja,

I did test this with $0 Standard Cost, but when ever I try a Delivery, I get the error "Item Cost not Found".

I also get this error on a Inventory Transfer.
