SAP Business One Browser Access Server Reaches Max Limit of Sessions

Hi All,

My client is on SAP B1 9.3 PL11 and have Browser Access deployed (based on 32 bit client).

He has reported an issue wherein they are getting an error 'the maximum number of users has been reached for browser access; please contact you system admin'

Hence, we changed the configuration in SLD for 'Maximum processes' for Browser Access from 10 to 60.

Now, the issue is with the idle sessions. Is there any way to kill those sessions whenever a user's connection times out?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Monika,

Hope the below will help.

  1. Check if the SAP Business One Browser Access Server Gatekeeper service is running under the administrator privileges.
  2. Check under the Services.mscSAP Business One Browser Access Server Gatekeeper Service Properties → under the Logon tab → and mention the Administrator user and password and restart the service.
  3. Once restarting the Gatekeeper, wait for a few minutes to start the service.
  4. Check whether the proxy is enabled; if yes, disable the proxy.
  5. If possible, also disable the antivirus, but only until you are checking the above solution.
  6. Check which SAP Business client 32bit or 64 bit is installed. The client version should match the one of Gatekeeper; that is, if you have installed Gatekeeper with 32 bit Client, you need to install 32 bit SAP Business One Client, too.

Gatekeeper logs can be located here:

  • Gatekeeper tomcat logs from "C:\Program Files\sap\SAP Business One BAS GateKeeper\tomcat\logs".
  • Gatekeeper logs from "C:\ProgramData\SAP\SAP Business One\Log\SAP BusinessOne BAS GateKeeper"
