Hi expoerts,

I am running SAP Business One 10.0 FP2208 and I encounter system message "Connection to the database is lost; contact your system administration (ODBC-1102)" while trying to login to the database by using server's ip address. I have tried the following:

  1. Refresh Database User in SLD
  2. Check that user is mapped accordingly and appropriate access rights are checked
  3. Add new connection with the IP address of server
  4. Switch off the firewall in the server and client
  5. Switch off antivirus in both server and client
  6. Network connection is there between server and client
  7. Server restarted

Kindly assist. It's urgent

Hey
It's worked with me by follows:
1. Go to SLD and get the database user of the database.

2. Go to hana studio find this use and activate it.

Thank you

The function Refresh Database User should be reachable via command line, this I miss!

I had to set the sysadmin role for the db user in order for it to work.

After upgrade to FP 2511 i have the same error messages. My solution was to delete and re-add the DB instance in SLD.

Check 1 -

Login to SLD

Click on DB Instance and select the database and click on refresh database user.

Check 2 -

Copy the Database User against the company database from SLD login.

Log in into SQL/Hana database

Select on Security-> Login-> Filter as per the database user

Right click on User and select Properties, check for status, it should be enabled.
