SAP B1: Open a form as View Mode

Can I open a form as View Mode instead of default Add Mode?

Hi @Peach14, is that a standard SAP B1 form or UDO? Do you have SDK knowledge or do you use add-ons like Corsuite or Boyum B1?

@TarekFatal It's standard form. I've found that I can write SDK to switch from ADD mode to OK mode but it's still be initial as ADD mode.

If you are using version 10.0, you may use the web client, where:

• By default, forms are open in read/view mode
• Configure the client so it will be entirely read-only

Unfortunately, I'm using SAP B1 10.0 on premise not on cloud.

Yes. The web client is supported by both SQL & HANA database servers

As far as I know, there is no ready-made solution. Here, we use Boyum's B1UP to accomplish this, and I believe it could also be achieved through the SDK.

That's right. This is not customizable by default, but you can use or write an add-on
