SAP Asset Manager - delta sync ignoring syclo changes sent by transport

I have noticed when

• I change syclo configuration (/SYCLO/CONFIGPANEL ODATA -> Data Filter),
• save changes to request,
• transport request to Test system,
• on mobile device perform delta synchronization, data are not synced correctly. New changes in the Data filter are not applied.

When I modify data on test system, delta synchronization will work. But If I do not change data but only changes in syclo were made, delta synchronization will not send data by current filter settings.

For example: Notifications => Item => Part group (list picker values) does not update values after delta sync. But if I reset the application and perform the initial full synchronization => list picker gets the correct current values.

I this correct behaviour of delta sync or am I missing something in syclo configuration?

Hi Radek,

Yes, is the correct behaviour. In delta sync, a calculation of data (object IDs) based on relevant changes is done first. Then this data is populated based on the filters configuration in the oMDO. However, if there is no relevant data, further processing is cancelled (it has no sense to apply filters to no data…).

In other words, changes in the filter configuration, do not trigger nor affect the delta sync mechanism.

So to see the effect of the changes you have to do what you noticed: make changes in some relevant data so the next delta sync retrieves this data, or reset the app to trigger an initial sync.
