SAP Asset Manager 2110 - Synch Performance for Documents

Hello,

we had our GoLive this week on customers side, but right now we have some performance issues with the loading of documents in Delta-Synch.

If we check the traces, we can see that it needs much time with each synch in loading the documents. There are no new documents, it should always load the same ones.

At the beginning it has lasted about 2mins more and the Note: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/3193417 has changed the loading time from 15-20seconds per Document-Request to 3-4seconds.

We don't understand why it is loading this list in each delta (we did not change anything from standard configuration).

We have documents on Functional Locations, Equipment, Notifications and WorkOrders in DMS.

Does anybody know what we can change there? Because it takes also right now 15-30seconds more only for the documents.

Regards

Björn

Hello james.murphy01 ,

thank you for your response.

Yes, there are no changes in the documents or objects - so the delta loaded list should not be so big and nothing should be resend to the mobile device.

In the traces are much more entries - it is the SAP Asset Manager - so each call is listed.

From openSynchSession, over all batches (loading and searching for notifications, work orders, equipment, funclocs,...) to closeSynchSession. --> The calls are empty because there is no delta at this time.

Just a cutout - the rest is fine:

Only documents are reloaded each time.

Are there any changes we have to do in the oMDO-Configuration of SYCLO for the documents? We did not change anything from the standard config. --> I know that there have been several note in the older SAP Asset Manager versions for the documents, because there have been problems that sometimes documents have been lost after delta synch. For 2110 in my opinion this problem does not exist anymore.

I don't understand what you are meaning with the added note?

Regards

Björn

As there is a Skiptoken showing in the traces I guess it is sending data back. If there are no changes to the WO/Notif/Equi/Floc I guess there shouldn't be a need to resend the Document metadata.

what Doc storage do you use?

Does the GW trace request responses contain a payload beside the delta/skip tokens?
You can also review to see if the Simple Transformation is configured in your system. Known to cause issues with Delta tokens. If it is configured consider turning it off for the documents entity set. https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1574568
