There is a requirement for reporting the requested delivery date at the sales order line item level.
In the reports available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the Requested Delivery Date is pulling from the sales order header (Ovrl Requested Delivery Date), not from the line item level, which causes inaccurate reporting for line-specific delivery planning.
Is there any standard report or app in S/4HANA Public Cloud that can show the Requested Delivery Date at item level, or is this currently only possible through custom development or consulting?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
Thank you for raising this question.
As of now, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the Requested Delivery Date field is derived from either the sales order header or schedule line, and is not maintained independently at the item level in standard reporting tools like Incoming Sales Orders – Flexible Analysis or List Sales Orders.
This is the system's standard behavior, and while the field may appear in item-level displays, it still reflects the header value unless schedule line details are used.
If item-level reporting on this field is a business requirement, there are two possible paths:
We acknowledge the need for greater clarity, and SAP is in the process of renaming the field to “Overall Requested Delivery Date” to reduce confusion about the level at which the data is maintained.
Kind regards,
