S4HC: Batch split item in billing document

Our customer will activate the batch management for the sales products.

So in the delivery note, there may be included more than one batch splits for each delivery item.

However, our customer do not want to copy these batch split items into billing document.  We just want to have the main item (with sales price and costs) showing in the billing document.

We remember that in private cloud, we can change the setting for item category as "not relevant to billing".

Can this be done in public cloud?? Or there is any other way we can do for this requirement?  Thanks.

Hi,

In S/4HANA Cloud, there are two batch item billing variant delivered as mentioned in Flexible Billing of Batch Items | SAP Help Portal:

  • A: The batch main items carry the item quantities and item net values of the sold products. These attributes form the basis of the actual billing calculation. The batch subitems carry only the associated costs (for internal cost calculations).
  • B: The batch main items are only displayed on the billing document, but don't carry the quantities and item net values of the sold products. The batch subitems carry the quantities and item net values of the sold products, which form the basis of the actual billing calculation. They also carry the associated costs.

In either way, the subitems are presented in the sales billing document in order to carry the costs, which are as designed.

The setting of "billing relevance" for an item category is not open for customizing at present as CE2408.

Depending on different business target, you may seek different channels for support:
