S4HANA Public Cloud - Controlling - Maintain Plan Version

Dear experts,

We have a client requirement on an implementation project in public cloud. The client wants to maintain "cost plannning", with multiple planning versions.

In S4HANA on premise was possible to maintain multiple planning CO versions.

However, we haven't identified this functionality in the S/4HANA Public Cloud version 2502.

Is this feature available in S/4 Public Cloud? If not, is it in the road map?

Thank you for your question regarding the implementation of multiple cost planning versions in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

As you correctly noted, the ability to maintain multiple plan versions (a standard feature in on‑premise S/4HANA) is not available today in Public Edition.

Current Status

• S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition (2502): Does not include this feature currently.

Roadmap Outlook

SAP has not officially confirmed whether multi-version cost planning will be added in future Public Edition releases. You can track enhancements through the SAP Roadmap Explorer under Finance > Controlling or monitor quarterly release notes for updates.

Requirement	Solution
Multiple cost plan versions needed	Continue your on-premise system, or consider upgrading to Private Cloud Edition
Workarounds in Public Edition	Use different fiscal years, cost center hierarchy, or external tools for multiple plan scenarios.
