S4HANA Capacity levelling

Dear team, as you are aware, we run mrp and then cm25 capacity levelling seperately in ecc. Please advise whether we can do material availablity planning and capacity levelling at a time in s4hana without using ppds system? Please advise what steps we need to follow both in s4hana and in ppds systems. Appreciated.

Thank you Sasi for the response. So, in S4HANA material planning and capacity levelling is like 2 step planning (material planning first and then capacity planning separately). But in classic PPDS, we can do both material planning and capacity levelling in single planning run. is my understanding correct?

Hi,

As you are aware, that in S/4HANA without (ePP/DS) you only have the MRP engine which is not a constrained planning engine. Due to which you would need to execute two different steps to perform materials planning followed by capacity planning separately. Ofcourse from a scenario planning perspective (i.e. which is suppose to replace LTP) you can explore the options of pMRP (predictive Material and Resource planning) where you can execute both plans through this process.
