Hi experts,
Is there any possibility of how to have active control without automatic creation?
At this moment the client has more than 600 production orders per day, but they need an inspection lot only for a few of them. At this moment we found these possibilities
1. active control 03 on product - there will be 600 inspection lots per day, from which we use only 10 of them
2. turn off the control on the product - to create insp. lot we need to change it in MM02. Without active control, you can't create an inspection lot with a connection to the production order
I found some settings in implementation activities but I'm not sure about the limits of the public cloud.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Ondrej,
As far as I know the standard behavior can not be changed (release of the production order generates inspection lot for inspection type 03).
In your requirement it depends how and when the quality team defines which production order should be inspected (random based on available capacity, selection during production planning/release, ect.) which alternative fits the best.
You could consider some alternatives:
- Inspection type 89 and manually create the inspection lots (as both are non- stock relevant)
- Long-term characteristic (always UD all the inspection lots by job and fill the characteristic values for the relevant later)
- Set Dynamic Modification rule (or quality level) to SKIP for all materials so all inspection lots get status SKIP, but re-open the characteristics for the relevant lots (change status 4 to 2) for the . Run job to UD the SKIP lots
- Setup an job to automatically UD the non used inspection lots where the production order is confirmed/completed
