S4 PCE sandbox for pre conversion system

Hi Expert 

We are working with the customer on a conversion from ERP PCE to S/4 PCE. The customer requires an S/4 HANA sandbox copied from their ERP production system (refer to the sample landscape in the attachment). After consulting with SAP IAE, we confirmed that ordering RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, premium with 60 FUEs (minimum FUEs) will allow the customer to have an S/4 HANA non-production system (SBX). We plan to proceed with ordering 60 FUEs for S/4 HANA along with a non-production environment of the same size as the ERP production system. However, we are uncertain if these SKUs will cover the system copy from ERP production for the conversion to S/4, or if an additional SKU for an ECC non-production environment (same size as production) is required for the system copy and conversion. We need guidance on how to proceed with this deal.

Hi Patrick,

If the target state of the sandbox is S/4 then you should use the S/4 Additional tier as indicated in your table.

The initial installation of the sandbox can be ordered as a copy of the ERP production system. Cost of this is included. However you you plan to do this multiple times for the same sandbox, the additional attempts will require additional cost.
