S4/HANA Table TVAUK / transaction OVF3 - cost centre disappears

Hi fellow SD-ers,

I'm encountering a problem in S/4 on premise, Basis version 755-0000. I can't find a solution in the SAP notes.

When I make an entry in OVF3 the cost centre and validity date both disappear. They are blank in table TVAUK when I check it in SE16N. The sales area and order reason are still there but no cost centre. The cost centre master data exists however.

Any hint would be appreciated.

You need to maintain the cost center and valid date at the same time when you create the record.

If you only maintain cost center and leave valid date as blank, then error message "date 0000/00/00 not expected" shows, at this point, even you update the date, system will still regard this record as a error one and move the cost center and date information.

If you come across this issue, please remove the existing record and recreate a new line and maintain the cost center and data fields at the same time.

My system version is also 755 and I am able to save the OVF3 settings with Cost Center. So, it is a bug in your system

Hello rico.berg7

Would the following notes help:

2824763 - TABLE_INVALID_INDEX dump in OVF3

1770070 - Records are not updated properly through View cluster

Best regards

Thanks for that.

The thing is that we don't get a dump and the second note is only up to 753. We're on 755.

It might well be that we've discovered something previously unknown.

That's perfectly possible you stumbled upon a new bug - you know: new release -> new bugs. Why don't you open a ticked with SAP support?

Seems to a bug. Might be silly but please check the validity period of that particular cost center in KS03. Also, please check Cost Center Category, which box is checked under Control tab as these are the some of the controls on how that Cost Center should work. If you feel, everything is ok and your FI consultant also confirms this, please raise an OSS ticket

Yes, it must be a bug as I have cross checked the entry in the client's old ECC system where the CC data is identical. The CC master data is fine in both ECC and S/4.

It could be that we're the first to detect it.
