S4 HANA Public Cloud: Product Compliance - Assign Compliance Requirement to Compliance Purpose

Hello!

We are implementing the process of Supplier Compliance for which the business needs to have its own Compliance Purpose.

Now, we have created a new Compliance Purpose using the app 'Manage Compliance Purposes'. Now after creating this new Compliance Purpose, I am not able to assign a Compliance Requirement. When I try to add, I see no options for selection.
No Compliance Requirements available for addingNo Compliance Requirements available for adding

Please note that, I have tried this both before and after activating the new Compliance Purpose. I have also tried adding Compliance Requirement to existing Compliance Purpose as well but it is the same result.

Request your help on this please. Not sure if I am missing something here.

Thank you

Snigdhodeep

Dear Snigdhodeep,

I truly appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. It's wonderful to see you designing your own compliance purposes and utilizing the supplier information pattern.

Please note that for a compliance requirement to be assigned to a compliance purpose, there must be at least one active compliance requirement version. Consequently, the dialog “Assign compliance requirements” only offers activated compliance requirements. You might want to consider activating at least one compliance requirements version of your preferred compliance requirement within the app "Activate Compliance Requirements – Product Marketability".

We acknowledge that our documentation may need enhancements in some areas. Rest assured, we are committed to making continuous improvements in this regard.

All the best with your work! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

Best Regards, Andrea

Hello @andrande and @Michael_Mulder
First of all, thanks a lot for your prompt response. Really appreciate it.

I tried what you recommended, but still not working. So here is what I have done:

1. Created a new compliance purpose and marked it as ACTIVE:

2. Next I created a new Compliance Requirement and marked it as released:

3. Next, I went back to the Compliance Purpose to add this Compliance Requirement. When I click Add, I don't see any available requirements:

Even if I enter the name of the requirement and search, I am not able to see anything.

Am I doing something wrong? Could this be some sort of access issue? Kindly let me know please.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @snigdhodeep

About the Compliance Requirement you've created, did you activate after you released it, in the Activate Compliance Requirements App?

From your latest reply it's not clear if you did. You need to, though. Otherwise you won't be able to use it in a Compliance Purpose.

Also, if you updated/revised a Compliance Requirement, you'll have to "confirm" (a kind of activation) in the Activate Compliance Requirements App, or the system will not consider it to be used in Compliance Purposes.

Hope this helps

Yes, I activated now and it worked. Sorry I just missed that part.

I just realized @andrea_giessmann and @Michael_Mulder also had indicated that I need to activate the Compliance Requirement, but I mistook activating for releasing.

Thank all of you - @andrea_giessmann @Michael_Mulder and @Paulo_Pinto for your help. Appreciate it. Closing this thread.

Hi Snigdhodeep,

Sorry for the confusion with the relationship between compliance purposes and compliance requirement. Here is one example on the help portal where it shows you need to activate a compliance requirement before assigning it to a compliance purpose. I think your issue highlights the need for us to have this point in the in-app help. Thank you for sharing this problem. Best wishes, Michael
