S4 Assign Contact Person to a BP multiple time with different function/dept

Hello,

I need some help regarding BP contact persons in S4 Hana. The migration process from ECC has resulted in a new BP contact person being created for each customer contact person in ECC. In some cases we have the same person created multiple times because of the different department and functions they were assigned in ECC. 

We would like to stop this practice and just create one BP contact person for John Smith, say number 123. 

A BUR001 relationship would then be created making 123 a contact person for an organisation, 4444. The department and function assigned would make it the delivery contact. 

Another BUR001 relationship would then be created making 123 a contact person for 4444. The department and function assigned would make it the pricing contact.

Another BUR001 relationship for the same objects, but the dept and function make it the quality contact. 

It is possible to have one contact person assigned to multiple accounts. But not to have one contact person assigned multiple times to one account. 

When you try this S4 gives the error "Relationship already exists; further interval not possible"

Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? I cannot see a standard method.
