Dear SAP-Team,
During testing of the Bank Guarantee Management (2NZ) test script, we have noticed some inconsistencies regarding the topic “Issue Bank Guarantee” and “Receive Bank Guarantee” that we do not fully understand. Shouldn't a customer instead of a supplier be selected in the BP role for the transaction type 100 and a supplier for the transaction type 200? As we interpret it, the points IP_ADDRESS Issue Bank Guarantee and IP_ADDRESS Receive Bank Guarantee could have been swapped in the BP role, when creating the test script.
Purpose Description:
If you request a commercial bank to issue a Bank Guarantee for your company, normally the commercial bank will require your company to either provide cash collateral or consume your company's credit line facility in the bank. And the commercial bank will also charge a small percentage of the entire guaranteed amount.
In this step, create a transaction for issued Bank Guarantee.
Procedure:
Transaction type: for example 100
Beneficiary: Search for a supplier with the BP role FLVN00 or FLVN01, for example.
We were especially confused by this point, as the system then selects a purchase order as the UL Transaction Type.
Please review and provide your valued feedback

Partner
You specify a third party as a partner in the system that issues the letters of credit or bank guarantees at your request or notifies you about a letter of credit or bank guarantee issued with you as the beneficiary (see Business Partner ).
For issuing bank guarantee, it means it's issued to you and give guarantee to the supplier that you have the credit to pay them.
For receiving bank guarantee, it means bank give you guarantee that the customer has the credit to pay you.
