S/4Hana cloud extensibility option - Sales Order (A2A)

Hi All,

We plan to create sales order through an inbound interface. On the sales order, the material serial number will also be specified. However, the field technical object, which stores serial number on sales order line item is not available on the API structure.

Has anybody got any input about how a S/4Hana cloud API can be extended?

Hi Abhijit,

Not sure, if I understood your problem statement correct. But to your question, Sales Order(A2A) api is extensible both at the header level as well as at the item level.

This means, you will be able to add a (custom)field called 'material serial number' at the item level using the custom field and logic app with business context: Sales Document Item.
