S/4 Public Cloud solution - VERTEX Implementation - Blocking error due to Tax Posting

Dear all,

We are in S/4 Public Cloud solution and now trying to implement VERTEX with our Productive system up and running.

While proceeding with first configuration step (change in tax procedure for US), SAP triggers error message below:

Could you please indicate and support if you encountered already this issue and provide guidelines if applicable?

Thank you for your question. The issue here is that you have tax-relevant postings in your production system. This is why you can't change the tax procedure yourself, because if you were to change the tax procedure, you could generate potentially serious data inconsistencies.

If you want to proceed and change your tax procedure, you'll need to open an expert configuration request with SAP.
