S/4 HANA Public Cloud v.1908 Project Budget app Not Showing Budget

Hello,

In the "Project Budget Report" app, only actual cost is shown, but the Budget in Project Currency column is blank for all projects. We have maintained the relevant expense GL accounts in the YPS2 financial statement version and have replicated the run time hierarchy. Please see attachment which shows that the budget is missing.

Feras,

I was able to upload for PLN using the project budget template, but cannot upload for BUDGET01 without errors. Please see attachments for the file we are trying to upload and the errors resulting.

Hi Jacob,

Are all your FI-CO periods open? The error message indicates that you need not flag the posting period column.

Also, when you upload the PLN template were you able to verify the corresponding result in the project budget report?

Hi all, this has been resolved after opening an incident with SAP. The template requires a line for plan data in row 3 of the template which I did not have. This caused the strange errors. SAP said they plan to improve the documentation and the Import Financial Plan Data app to prevent future misunderstandings.

Thank you for confirming that you have configured the budget availability control profile and have maintained it as 'active' during project creation as per riwamouawad 's point.

Which specific import template are your using in the Import Financial Plan Data app?

There are two different ones with two different purposes and planning categories:

• template for project planning [PLN]
• Template for budget [Budget01]

1. Yes, it is enabled

2. No, the budget does not show in other apps, including the Monitor Projects app

Hi Jacob,

Two questions:

1. Did you "enable" the project that you created for budget? In the "Project Control" application the budget needs to be enabled.

2. Does the budget come up in any other reports?

Could you please check the KBA https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2799100 if you havent already for the issue you describe with the App not showing the Actual Costs?

Thank you for the reply. I have already reviewed that KBA. You can see in my earlier screenshot, actual costs are shown; that is not a problem. The problem is that budget does not show.
