S/4 HANA message AG211 - MRP Area could not be determined

Dear all,

We have recently migrated our development system from ECC6.0 to S/4 HANA OP1610.

We are facing the below issue:

1. While testing the business processes for Sale Order in VA01 in the S/4 HANA system, we are getting message "MRP area could not be determined for material XXXXXXX plant XXXX Message No. AG211". Though this is appears as an information message, we are not sure why it is appearing in first place.

2. Also, in MD04, the field for MRP area selection appears which is not required; moreover, stock is not shown in MD04, as it normally appears in ECC environment.

Our requirement & S/4 HANA Setup:

MRP area is not applicable to our environment.

Client needs only MRP at plant level and there is no requirement for Storage location level inclusion / exclusion.

MRP area is not activated in IMG and no MRP areas have been defined.

Please advise why this error message is appearing in S/4 HANA and how to fix this.

Hi,

MRP and MRP area are activated by default in S/4HANA. Customizing paths for activating MRP and MRP area do not exist though you can check the settings in OMDU.Suggest checking your settings for the plant at OMDU.

Hi Team, I have the same issue and requirement. In legacy ECC , we dont have MRP area activated in legacy ECC. As we are not running MRP at storage location level so in my veiw , we dont require MRA area in S4 HANA as w iwell. Pls help me to understand MRP area requirement here and approach to adopt to resolve the issue. Also AG111 error is coming in sales order for some selective order type. we are getting this error also when creating OBD.
