Hi All,

Can anyone help me with resources to judge the differences between Multi-Tenant Edition and Single Tenant Edition? If the customer is looking for a solution that will span across multiple countries, which is the best option?

The answer really depends on what countries you will implement, the functional scope, the governance of the system, etc.

However, to get an idea of the country coverage (as of today May 1st, 2020) in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, essentials edition (MTE), you can refer to the S/4HANA Cloud, essential edition - Best Practices https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/BP_CLD_ENTPR. At the moment (May 1st, 2020), if there is no localization available for a country you are looking for (e.g. Peru) in S/4HANA Cloud, essential edition you can't deploy the solution in that country. SAP is working to offer a localization tool kit to help in these cases in the future.

S/4HANA Cloud, extended edition (STE) has 64 countries available: https://help.sap.com/viewer/b2d44c1091094b5a810c2a879ee95522/1909.001/en-US/a372c2531bb9b44ce1000000... if a country is not covered, you can build from scratch as you have access to the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG). Also something that is new, with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, extended edition (as of April 20th, 2020) is that customers subscribing to it, get the SAP Model Company for Enterprise Management Layer as part of the subscription which is a template that contain an international corporation for the 42 countries available in best practices out of the box. This of course can be use as an implementation accelerator with a strong country coverage.
