When creating a BP master data for our supplier, there are two roles: purchasing supplier and financial supplier.

If the supplier is a software organization or an organization who provides service (non-physical products), is it necessary for us to create purchasing supplier role information for this supplier?

Hi,

purchasing supplier role = you need for purchasing module (purchase order, contract,...). Master data is usually provided by purchasing team.

financial supplier = you need this in addition to handle this account as vendor in finance module (master data is usually provided by finance team)

So, yes. You need both roles if you want to create purchase orders. It doesn't matter if you order only service or an inventory managed product. This has only an influence on the material master record.

Puchasing Supplier role is required to add Purchasing Org to the Supplier.
