our business has 2 scenarios we assemble new FG's and we do repair for the same FG type, we know exactly our demand for each quarter for both scenarios, so the idea is to have 2 forecasts one for new and one for repair and each forecast will have its own MRP run and lets call the new FG MRP1 and Repair MRP2
the issue is with repair MRP2 as we have an agreement with all our clients to try to do repair using our salvage inventory to save them some many, therefore salvage must be segregated from MRP1 and MRP2 should only run on salvage inventory
our implementation partner tested MRP area mapped to storage location but it failed and both MRP's keep exploding on the plant level
then partner suggested to have 2 plats rather than one which I know it might work, however this solution was rejected by the management due the complexity of duplicating everything especially Master data
it will be great if anyone has a solution for this dilemma
