RFC Protocol Cloud Based S4 Hana

Will the option still be available to access S4 Hana SAP application via BAPIs, IDOCS via 3rd party adapters?   Or will it to be leveraged via SAP software only HCI, SAP PO etc.,?  thx

I assume you are interested in ad hoc RFC connections John

All indications are that for the cloud based version of S/4 it is not possible to create ad hoc RFC connections. Per SAP HANA Cloud Platform - SAP is pushing you to drive against ODATA which may in turn invoke BAPIs etc over RFC connections registered on Gateway

The invocation of function modules via RFC is offered via the JCo API like the one available in SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java since version 7.10, and in JCo standalone 3.0.

If you are an experienced JCo developer, you can easily develop a Web application using JCo: you simply consume the APIs like you do in other Java environments.
