Reversal of Release WBS

Hi Friends,

Can I Undo or Reverse the release WBS? I mean when i relese the WBS then leter on can i reverse it?

You can do it, as long as there is no commitment generated for that WBS.

Hi,

You cannot revert back release status to created status.

But if you still need to revert back, consult your BASIS team. (can also be done through tables directly but not recommended as it is risky)

No, you cant do reversal of release. So, think befor u releas ne WBS

What I said is wrong. You can not undo REL status. What Nitin & other guys here are saying is absolutely true.

Hi Kinjal,

When WBS is Released (REL),you can assign costs and revenues to WBS elements.

Only prerequisite is that "The Created status is set".

In Released status you can create new WBS elements and change the project hierarchy. The status is passed on to subordinate WBS elements.

Released status allows

1.You from assigning networks, production orders or CO orders to the WBS element.

2.You to post actual costs

3.You to transfer actual costs

But you cannot change the status from Released to Created, as actual values from PO or

Confirmations may have been posted

No. you cannot undo the release of the project.

You cannot reverse / Undo the Release (REL) status once set . Because with REL status you are alllowed most of the business txn. after doing some of acutal postings if sys allows you to set CRTD than it is against CRTD status std behaviour ( In CRTD sys not allows you to post actual cost on PS object ) .. This is once of the ex.. there are so many conequences...

So, Once REL (Released ) is set SAP doesn't allow you to reset the same .
