Hello Experts,
We need your help on this specific return process. Our business requirement is that during PGR goods will move to quality inspection. I have checked through the order type CBAR standard return process, where I am getting only 653 and 657 movement types triggered automatically as per follow-up activity. And in the Lean Return CBRE, only 651 and 653 are available to determine. As you knew, we can't create any schedule lines in the public cloud. In this case, I need your support; how could I achieve my client requirements?
Client wants during outbound delivery for returns. Order Specific Goods should be under Quality Inspection, with below points
Please Guide us How could we achieve it?
Thanks

Hi @Matt_Sui,
Thank you so much for this.

Hello,
Based on your requirements and the limitations with the standard return processes using CBAR and CBRE order types in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, achieving the client’s requirement for moving goods to quality inspection during goods receipt for returns may be accomplished by custom configuring the process as follows:
1. **Quality Inspection During Goods Receipt:**
- You can use the standard SAP quality management processes integrated with inbound logistics.
- During goods receipt of returned materials, ensure that the quality inspection lot is automatically triggered by configuring the inspection type option in the material master (e.g., Inspection Type 01 for goods receipt for purchase order or Inspection Type 08 for returns from customers).
- Set up a quality stock movement type that moves goods to quality inspection stock upon receipt to ensure they are held for inspection before being moved back to unrestricted use or blocked/reworked as per the QC observations.
2. **Customizing Movement Types:**
- Movement type 651 (returns from customer) can be configured to initiate a quality inspection process if this does not meet existing movement types setup.
- Work with your SAP consultant to check if customizing the movement types is possible or engage in BAdI enhancements if needed, considering the cloud environment limitations.
3. **Using Inspection Lots:**
- Ensure that your inspection setup includes the necessary inspection plans and characteristics to determine if materials require rework.
- Based on the quality inspection results, manage the stock posting via quality decision codes - this might involve moving stock back to unrestricted (if passed), retaining in quality stock, or moving to blocked stock for rework.
4. **Workflow for QC Processing:**
- Set up workflows or alerts for quality inspection processing, so the relevant department is notified promptly when items require inspection/rework.
- If the quality module is extensively leveraged, integrate it fully with logistic processes to allow for automatic routing of materials requiring quality checks.
You can have a try with the above steps.
