No standard SAP solution. As it wouldn’t make sense to restrict this, as you could have multiple requests raised for the same equipment. This is usually handled in the screening process where a supervisor can have visibility of all the requests that have been raised, and they can cancel accordingly.
You would need to build a custom solution that checks for open notifications/orders upon save, but would advise against it for the reasons above.
