Dear Experts,
As per the business requirement, we need to change the maintenance strategy hierarchy in order to bring only the higher level package when the miantenance is due ignoring the lower level package.
I have updated the desired hierarchy in the strategy and a list of rescheduling objects are created.
In IP11U, there are couple of options:
I want to know what will be the impact on each of this options and what precaution should be taken before going with any of this option., since we have thousands of maintenance plans.
I hope this won't affect the maintenance plans which are not scheduled yet.
If any body can provide the the complete list of activities it will be great.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Raj
If you have to change the strategy. The system will propose you to reschedule your calls.
-You could use Restart in cycle after last date option when the next maintenance calls and work will start with reference date equal to the last planned date. Example:
Last calls: (monthly)
Planned Date - Call Date
15.03.14 01.03.14
15.04.14 02.04.14
New change (bi-weekly)
Planned Date - Call Date
15.03.14 01.03.14
15.04.14 02.04.14
30.04.14 23.04.14
-You could use Restart in cycle after next planned date option when the reference date will be the next planned date.
Last calls: (monthly)
Planned Date - Call Date
15.03.14 01.03.14
15.04.14 02.04.14
New change (bi-weekly)
Planned Date - Call Date
15.03.14 01.03.14
15.04.14 02.04.14
15.05.14 02.04.14
30.05.14 23.05.14
Depending on the maintenance team, you should select one option. Also you should test some plans before using IP30.

Johnny E.
