Description:
We need to implement a control mechanism during maintenance order creation/change (transactions IW31/IW32) to prevent diesel (material) reservations for surplus equipment. Specifically, we are looking for a suitable User Exit or BAdI that can intercept the save logic, validate the equipment status, and check the material component data before the reservation is created.

Please advise on the appropriate enhancement point where we can perform this validation, ideally before the reservation is committed to the database.

You can try with BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE or EXIT_SAPLMLSP_031
