Dear SAP Team,
I am implementing FI-AA for a client based in Dubai on SAP Public Cloud. As part of their requirement, they need to assign assets to employees and track which asset is assigned to which employee.
In SAP Private Cloud, this is typically achieved using the "Personnel number" field in the asset master data. However, in SAP Public Cloud, we could not find a similar field to maintain the employee assignment at the asset master level.
Could you please advise on the standard approach or any available alternative solution in SAP Public Cloud to fulfill this requirement?
Looking forward to your guidance.
Best regards,
Syed Ahsan

Hello @ahsanali
There is no standard Personnel Number field to assign assets directly to employees in the asset master in S4HANA Public Cloud, as seen in your screenshot. This limitation results from the simplified standard design of the Public Cloud.
To monitor asset assignments to employees, you can utilise custom fields via the SAP Fiori Custom Fields and Logic app or consider developing extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for more advanced scenarios.
For more information on custom fields and enhancements, please consult the official SAP documentation.
