Request for Solution: Asset Retirement to Customer in SAP FICO Public Cloud

Dear SAP Support Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am currently implementing SAP FICO Public Cloud for a client in the UAE region. As part of the client’s requirements, I need to create an uploader for asset retirement to a customer.

Upon reviewing the available APIs, I found the following API for asset retirement:
Asset Retirement - SAP Help Documentation

However, this API only supports asset retirement without a customer. The client requires functionality to retire assets that are integrated with customers.

Could you please advise on how to achieve this requirement? Is there a separate API, enhancement option, or configuration workaround to enable asset retirement to a customer in SAP Public Cloud?

I look forward to your guidance on this matter.

Best regards,
Ahsan

Hello @ahsanali

Retiring an asset to a customer (integrated with Accounts Receivable) is done via the Fiori app Post Retirement (Integrated AR) with Customer, as mentioned @BobShen  in his post.

There is no public OData API to post the integrated AR plus Asset Accounting document, and there is no standard mass retirement capability with customers. SAP Help Portal-Post Retirement (Integrated AR) – With Customer

If there is a requirement for upload-style throughput while maintaining integrated posting, the recommended method is to automate F-92 using SAP Build Process Automation (RPA). SAP-Automate mass updates of asset master data in SAP S/4HANA

The Fixed Asset, Post Asset Retirement API manages only non-integrated retirements, without a customer. Some mass-retirement content on the Accelerator Hub also uses this route API.SAP.com-Fixed Asset – Post Asset Retirement

With best regards

For retirement with customer , it can be only processed by F-92, see https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/3e5fcf2c768746049b5627bd5a42f720/3776d953292a424de1000000... and there is no mass retirement with customer. see https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/323940 If there is a RPA purchased for your customer , the scenario can be processed.
