Reorder point planning queries

How does the follow-up concept work in case of reorder point planning? Both are externally procured materials and MAT-B is follow-up of MAT-A.

MAT-A

Reorder point - 10

MRP Type - VB

Stock level - 0

Fixed Lot - 10

MAT-B

Reorder point - 20

MRP Type - VB

Stock level - 0

Fixed Lot - 10

Will the system transfer the need of MAT-A to MAT-B?If so, what will be the output of MRP? Will it create PR's based on MAT-A or MAT-B?

Hello

As explained in SAP Note 43636-Discontinuation control, discontinuation only works with MRP Type PD, so you cannot use MRP type VB here.
