Hello Dear Expert,
I have an issue and was hoping someone could help.
From the best of my knowledge, there is an n to n relashionship between Sales offices and Sales Groups.
I treid assigning one Sales group to more than one Sales oficce, and the system keeps on telling me that the Group is already assigned to a diffent unit of thesame type.
Please am I doing something wrong, or am I missing something?
I will be greatful if someone can please be of help here.

Hi gladstone - we've confirmed that the S/4HANA Cloud Essentials system does currently not allow the same sales group to be assigned to multiple sales offices (while this was possible on-prem). The team will look into this some more - as to whether it is restricted for a specific reason (e.g. a best practice or simplification) or if there's any plan to change this, but that will take some time to get feedback on (weeks).
In the meantime, depending on what you're using the sales group for a custom field might allow you to achieve the business outcome you need. i.e. if you wanted to assign sales group 010 to sales office A and B, now you assign 01A to office A and 01B to office B and use a custom field/custom logic to get '01' into the custom field in both those cases. This could allow some unified reporting across the groups. Pricing (and commissions) are more complex though and all approaches would require a fair bit of analysis.
