Reference Personnel Number

Hi,

My client requirement is to maintain the Reference Employee number (if employee is hired through reference of internal employee) or Replacement Employee number (if employee is hired in replacement of another employee number). Is there any standard infotype that can be used for this purpose. I know i can create a new subtype in IT0105 which can fulfil the purpose. Is there any other infotype that is used specifically for the same purpose except IT0031?

Hi, You can try with Infotype 185 - Personal IDs with a new subtype configured. Here you can store any type of number for your references.

When you ask "Is there any other infotype that is used specifically for the same purpose" very often the choice is up to you on how you chose to utilise fields and implement logic around them.

IT0032 - Field PNALT Previous Personnel Number can be utilised to store a reference number.

IT0032 is already being used to maintain Previous Personnel Number if any.
