Individual Capacity Functionality in Production order

Dear All

I have been going through the this forum for understanding how to inmplement Individual capacity functionality for production order. but some how no thread provides the complete details.

I have a scenario of cellular mfg. where similar machines are clubbed together. I understand this can be achieved by Individual capacity functionality. But need steps involved to implement the same.

I will appreciate if some document or step by step approach can be provided.

I am also adding a detail of the query as well

" We have work center say XYZ where I perform milling operation. I have 3 milling m/c say 001,002,003. I have operation quantity is 150 piece.I want to specify that 40 pieces are to be processed on machine 001, 60 pieces on machine 002 & 50 pieces on machine 003.

How I can allocate this.Please help out.If possible please tell step by step procedure"

Hello Vivek,

"capacity category doe not exist" happens in production order can be caused by customizing for scheduling. Please check in OPU3 for the combination of plant and order type, then under tab "Detailed scheduling", is "scheduling" and "Generate Capacity Requirement" ON?

Dear Sayeed, thanks Yes, i am looking for similar solution and I have already seen this thread. While following the suggesttions of this thread I am not able to meet this solution. I need some more details how to achive the same

If you see the thread's third paragraph

"Now i created manual production order in (co01). I have my work center - A with operation 10. When i go inside the operation details, In the cap reqt assignment i have splited my order quantity for all the 5 machines."

I am not able to do this as I get the message : capacity category doe not exist. for which I have referred several suggestions and threads with no help.
