quotation error : Unpermitted combination of business object BUS2032 and sales doc. category B

Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue during the data load of quotations in the Migration Cockpit in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

I get the following error message:
“Unpermitted combination of business object BUS2032 and sales document category B.”

I checked an SAP Note which suggests using LTMOM to configure the migration object. However, this object is not editable – I can modify or add fields, but the object itself cannot be changed.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a solution? Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mohammed

Hi @mohammed_annabi

Thank you for your question.

The error message you are getting appears because the standard Sales Order migration object in the S4 migration cockpit does not support sales document category B. This happens because the migration cockpit provides predefined migration objects for specific business processes. BUS2023 is limited to sales orders. Quotations are not supported as a loadable object. The LTMOM is adjustable in Private Cloud or on-premise. However, this is not possible in public cloud.

Have a look at the following links for more details. Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit

Interface SalesQuotationService

I recommend you:

  • Check in your migration cockpit and verify the list of standard objects, you will see that quotations are not included.
  • Alternative options would be to manually create quotations or use API-Based upload.

I hope this provides the desired insight. Happy to answer any further questions.

Best regards

Chris
